Public Lands and Conservation Easements in the Belknaps

Much of the land in the Belknap Range is public or is protected with conservation easements. The map below shows these areas. In addition, in 2017,  273 acres on Piper Mountain in Gilford have now been conserved. This property encompasses Piper’s open summit (elevation 2,044’), the surrounding pristine forest and wild habitat, and parts of key hiking trails in the Belknap Range.  The map below will be updated to show that parcel soon.

Many of the trails on this site, particularly those in the eastern Belknap’s,
are on private property.
Please respect the landowners rights and use these trails with great care and respect.
