Enter Reed Rd. from Rt. 11A. Take first right on Reed Road and drive about O.6 mi on paved, then dirt road to parking lot on left. Sign: “Quarry Mountain Forest”.
From there hike south approximately 0.25 miles on old dirt road to gate. Continue from gate along old dirt road over two streams and past two open fields on the left reaching the entrance to Reed Rd. trail at approximately 0.55 mi. as you enter wood line. Here.the entrance to the Reed Road trail is marked by stone steps to the right and blue blazes on trees. Continue uphill following the blue blazes another 0.7 mi. on trail, ascending through woods. Along the way there are a couple of outlooks where views to Gunstock, Rowe and further to the White mountains are available. Continue to the intersection with the Dave Roberts Quarry Trail at 1.25 mi. Time: approximately 45 min; elevation gain: approximately 800 ft.
